visions
for the breastless project
The website
I’d like to find collaborators for the website and develop it into a place where any patient plus the family and friends of patients can find information, encouragement, humour, and what I call first aid tools.
For example: breathing sessions for the moment after you got your diagnosis, or yoga for a tight scar, or a comedy bit that gives you a breather from your frustration and many more such small tools which can make all the difference.
The books & comics
breastless stories, including all gender and reasons for breastlessness
cancer stories, including breast cancer but dealing in particular with those forms of cancer where body parts are removed
practical patient guide for breast cancer patients: basically everything from what is a biopsy to what to pack for the hospital and how to talk to the people around you
practical patient guide for cancer patients: like above but including other forms of cancer
inspirations books for hospitals and rehab clinics, drawing from experience and from my work for the easy town books, these books are designed to rethink hospitals & care and inspire all people involved in these professions.
comics – cancer is no joke, but laughing is always healthy. One of the comics, I’d love to help unearth is a practical guide to a hospital stay which includes, for example, a fun bit about the very different types of nurses and doctors.
The network
This website can serve as a hub for networking for everyone who has a connection to cancer.
