Dear visitor,

my pen-name and the name I exclusively use is Charlie Alice Raya. I am an explorer, creator, thinker, author and photographer with little to their name, but with bags full of contributions for our life on this planet and with each other.

breastless is the most personal of my projects. It starts here, with this website, where I will add bits and pieces about my experiences with overwork, my brush with cancer, my double mastectomy and eventually more generally about connecting to the body and about imbalances in our lives. I regret that I don’t have more time to properly fill this website with encouraging stories, tips, things to laugh about, and more about the visions for this project which I hope will grow into a place where people can come for encouragement and where many will contribute to the healing and thinking processes we deal with when faced with cancer and overwork.

I will get there, but right now my book 4, building and the CAMPAIGNS FOR OUR FUTURE, have priority.

Nonetheless, I will keep coming back to add bits and pieces here, too.

about me

I am back after a long period of recovery, though I’m not entirely certain that I should already be working as much as I do.

Strangely I feel like I could do with a long holiday. You know, the kind where you don’t worry about your health, where you’re not frustrated about how long it takes to get back on your feet, where you don’t worry about how to get your work out into the world, where you don’t worry about all the madness around us. Just a holiday, where the body is well, where the mind is relaxed, where the soul breathes deeply and smiles at the dragonflies which criss-cross the lake or at the seagulls which glide above the waves. Yes, I could do with that.

Who knows, maybe I will get there.

On August, 15, I embark on a nearly six weeks marathon for the CAMPAIGNS FOR OUR FUTURE. A central part of this ‘event’ is the chapter by chapter publication of the first part of book 4, building, which contains many ideas for campaigns which can help us to get active and shape our world.
